MASTER AND COMMANDER- THE FAR SIDE OF THE WORLD

Master and Commander has to be one of my all-time favorite films. The action scenes are fantastic, the amount of effort that went into making it is recognizable especially in the Cape Horn piece. With all the t time, money and effort that went into it, the reality of its small success is disheartening. Please, give it some love for me by watching it :D xx

As you can probably tell by now, from looking at all these pictures from the movie, my favorite character is Max Benitz's wonderful portrayal of Midshipman Peter Myles Calamy. He's wonderful in the role, and although having only a small part, he is perfect as the mature young officer.

All of the midshipmen though are lovely, their struggle to enjoy their youth while being taught how to demand
respect from much older men is touching :)    

Pretty Salad

Making a salad look pretty can be a nuisance...

ESPECIALLY when your friend is stealing the strawberries from it as you try to get them all even!!

This salad contained:

One Cabbage

Half a cucumber

Approximately 10 cherry tomatoes

A sprinkle of Feta cheese

&

Approximately 9 strawberries!!

Although I can't tell you the approximate amount because she was eating them as I went along...

and I can't tell you if I thought it tasted nice because I've only got her word for it :')

But here's the finished product with the fish pie she made to go with it:

Yep, it took us about half an hour to make the whole thing!Apparently it was lovely, despite my immaturity of putting swede on her shoulder before the 'strawberry incident'... But anyway, enjoy!

In Memory of Poppy

I'm afraid I have some devastating news.
My darling dog, my beautiful second sister has had to have been put to sleep.
My little she had a heart murmur, which escalated in potency. Last time I saw her she was very ill, not herself.
The last time I saw her, I sung to her and stroked her cheek. I never knew that would be the last time I saw her. Never again will there be such a lovely, dog, her personality had so much depth. I just regret I never got to see her one last time and sing with her one last time. I've lost a member of my family. I've lost Poppy.

Here's just a few of the pictures of her I've taken recently, though no picture can ever describe how truly wonderful she was; in memory of my velvet paw puppy:
